A friend told me about you last week. I thought you sounded like a pretty sweet deal – I mean, I just pop you in my shoe (well, on my laces for now – I don’t have Nike walking shoes…yet…) and you collaborate with my iPod to tell me how many miles I’ve walked and for how long I’ve been dragging myself around.
On top of that, you have a really nice lady (how does she fit in there, anyway?) that tells me how far I’ve gone and what my pace is at the push of a button. She must get really tired of having people constantly push her buttons.
Anyway.
I wanted to have a little chat with you, because you’re not really doing your job. Now, it’s quite possible that I put you in the lace holder wrong. Or that I didn’t calibrate you correctly. Or that I just don’t know how to walk (this possibility is actually very likely).
But after an hour and a half this morning, you told me I had gone merely 2.8 miles.
Seriously?!
Now, I’m no genius, but I know that after an hour and a half, I should have gone more than 2.8 miles. I mean – I’m not the quickest walker, but come on.
Just to let you know, I got in my car after the fact and retraced my route.
5.1 miles.
Yeah. Take that. And I could have done more, if my dog hadn’t threatened to pass out on the sidewalk.
So, dear sensor, I’m hoping that Fleet Feet can help me figure you out. I’d really like to use you, I really would.
One month left.
