This October marks some very special milestones for me.
1) I’m getting married! I know, I know, my friends and family thought this occasion would never come. To top it off, I get to introduce my wonderful future husband to the 3-Day in 2011. We.Are.Awesome!
2) And the most important milestone: October 18th marks my mom’s 62 birthday, and the TENTH year free of breast cancer. My friends and family know the personal struggles we have endured over the past year, and her reaching this incredible milestone is SO important to me. It brings tears to my eyes just typing it.
After having walked in both the 2008 and 2009 3-Day events, it was very difficult to hold off on walking again until the 2011 walk. While I had initially planned to walk in 2010, wedding planning has made it difficult to organize my annual fundraiser. Have no doubt – I will return full force and more determined than ever in 2011 to walk again. Donations are still very much appreciated and the link is available on the home page.
